gredHi all!
-
gredI've run into a few browser bugs around the selectionchange event (e.g. bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=725890 and bugzilla.mozilla.org/1648944) and figured this might be a good area to test.
-
gredHowever, I see that there is already an open PR created a couple of years ago on this topic (web-platform-tests/wpt #11491).
-
gredSo before I put in too much effort, I was wondering if anybody knows why PR 11491 never got any traction, and whether a more complete selectionchange / Selection API (w3c.github.io/selection-api) test set would likely be accepted?
-
smcgruer_[EST]gred: I'm not aware of any particular reason - I'd say just go for it :). You could try posting on that PR to ask if there was a reason - both zcorpan and boaz are still reasonably active in WPT so would probably be able to answer you if there was some terrible truth.
-
smcgruer_[EST]But the terrible truth is probably just that there's more to be tested, than can ever be tested... *hums circle of life*
-
gredsmcgruer: thanks for the info and the suggestion, I'll add a comment to the PR as well
