AutomatedTesterwhat are people's thoughts for a virtual TPAC, should this group do it? Would people see value in it?
-
jgrahamI think we have an in-progress spec for which we're currently making foundational design decisions, and which will soon be ready for more feature work and implmentation. I can't see how carving out a period for more dedicated work and meetings on that topic would be bad.
-
AutomatedTesterI don't see it as bad, just awkward for people due to timezones
-
jgrahamWe had a virtual all hands, and it obviously isn't as good as having something real, but it is probably better than nothing. There are a few hours of time a day that overlap for meetings in US/Europe; I think there are fewer people in this group based in Asia; obviously it's almost impossible to do all three at the same time. And it gives people an excuse to block out the time for work on the

jgrahammeeting-relevant topics rather than just doing their normal jobs for that time period.
-
gsneddersmy main question would be "do we need it during TPAC specifically, or should we do it when we have more flexibility as to timing? do we expect to meet with other groups?"
-
jgrahamI think the advantage of having it during TPAC is that it's easy to explain what's going on to other people who might have demands on your time
